Effective: October 25, 2026
This policy applies to residents of Washington, Nevada, Connecticut and other US states with consumer health data laws. 1. Consumer health data we collect and why
- Life stage and mode: whether you have a regular or irregular cycle, whether you use hormonal contraception, whether you are trying to conceive, pregnant (and your trimester), postpartum (your stage since birth and whether you are breastfeeding), in perimenopause or in menopause. Why: to choose the nutrients that matter most for where you are now.
- Cycle information: period and bleed start and end dates, typical cycle length, cycle regularity, whether your period has returned after birth, and the cycle day and phase we calculate from them. Why: to work out your current phase and adapt your guidance to it.
- Fertility observations (trying to conceive only): ovulation test results and mild pelvic pain, if you choose to log them. Why: so you can keep track of what you notice. We never use them to predict fertility or pregnancy.
- Symptoms you log: for example cramps or pelvic pain, bleeding (including heavy bleeding and spotting), back pain, bloating, headaches, fatigue, mood changes and low mood, cravings and appetite changes, skin and hair changes, breast sensitivity, discharge changes, digestion changes, sleep, nausea, heartburn, constipation, swelling, food aversions, recovery discomfort, feeding discomfort, hot flushes, night sweats, brain fog, joint aches, vaginal dryness and bladder changes, as well as how much your symptoms affect you. Why: so you can track how you feel and get tips that fit, for example iron-rich food ideas when you log heavy bleeding.
- Age and weight: your date of birth (used to adapt nutrient targets to your age and to confirm you are old enough to use Nourimi) and your weight (used to calculate your protein target). Why: to calculate nutrient targets that fit you.
- Goals and answers: what you want Nourimi to help with (for example support while trying to conceive, during pregnancy, postpartum recovery or menopause), your answers to onboarding questions such as whether you have felt your symptoms were dismissed, and your quiz answers. Why: to tailor the content and tips you see.
- Meal photos and food logs: the photos you take, the meals and drinks you log, portion sizes, and the nutrients, scores and daily totals calculated from them. Why: to calculate your meal scores and daily nutrient progress.
- Planning and progress: your weekly meal plan, saved and created recipes, grocery lists and monthly progress insights. Why: to plan meals and show your progress over time.
- Information we derive: your current phase or stage, priority nutrients, nutrient targets, intake estimates, meal scores and progress insights. Why: to give you personalized guidance in the app.
- Health information in your messages: anything health-related you choose to tell us when you contact support. Why: to answer you.
We only use consumer health data to provide the features you ask for in the app. We never use it for advertising.
2. Where this data comes from
- Directly from you, when you complete onboarding, set up your mode, log your cycle, symptoms or meals, take meal photos, or plan meals.
- From our own processing of what you give us, for example our AI analysis of your meal photos and the scores and recommendations we calculate.
3. Your consent
We only collect consumer health data after you give us your consent in the app. We will ask for your separate consent before we ever share it, and we never sell it. You can withdraw your consent at any time in the app or by contacting us.
5. Your rights and how to use them
You have the right to:
- Confirm whether we collect, share or sell your consumer health data.
- Access it, including a list of all third parties and affiliates we have shared it with and how to contact them.
- Withdraw your consent to its collection and sharing.
- Have it deleted, including from our archives and backups, and have our service providers delete it too.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
